Note on the source

These figures come from the Danish police leaflet on passport photos published at politi.dk, which states the rules took effect on 1 August 2006 (“REGLERNE TRÆDER I KRAFT DEN 1. AUGUST 2006”). It is the current official leaflet we could find; ask the citizen service (borgerservice) if you are unsure. Note the background: a plain light colour such as light blue or light grey — not necessarily white.

How our maker fits these rules

The app measures your head from chin to the top of your hair and crops and scales your own photo so the head sits in the middle of the allowed 30–36 mm range. It does not change the background, retouch or rotate anything — so take the photo in front of a plain wall that matches the background rule above. The checklist tells you if the background, head tilt or framing need a retake, and the free preview lets you inspect the result first.
